Just who are you
guys?
92.1 THE X
is a fun music channel that plays a wide range of pop music from the
70's through today! If you like having a lot of different songs and
artists on shuffle, than THE X is for you! Bringing back the variety
that was heard on great Musicradio stations in the years past. You never know what you'll
hear, from today's artists as well as a song you may haven't heard in
awhile...or ever! We are a station with an open playlist for those who
have open minds and wide tastes. That's why we play HOT HITS and COOL
TUNES!
You call
yourselves "92.1." Are you a radio station?
Well yes, sort
of. We broadcast a legal micropowered (50 mW) neighborhood signal on 92.1 FM. The coverage is not even close to as wide as the
commercial FM & AM stations in the market. We only cover a very
small area. However, our digital stream makes up for the
small over-the-air signal. That's why we are known as The Micropowered
Superstation!
Do you run any
Specialty Programming?
We have several
special music shows. Retro Saturday Night plays dance, disco, funk and
fun favorites from the 70's and 80's. It airs from 8pm-midnight central
time. Oldies fill the air on 60's Sunday Morning from 7am-noon central
time. It is immediately followed by Bart Shore's Sunday Time Warp
Request Show. Then, there's Yacht Rock Radio at 1:00pm. Other special shows pop up here and there. Stay tuned or

That's the fun of
THE X. While other stations have cut back their playlists, we sprinkle
in those fun songs that radio has forgotten about! At one time or another
they all were hits. Putting the COOL into Cool Tunes!

What streaming
players can I use? \
We loved sharing
the wide and unique music that we brought you worldwide, but we had to
shut down our live broadcast stream in 2016, due to the ruling
of the Copyright Royalty Board.
Since then, the
internet has exploded with ever expanding listening choices. Talks began
to resume our streaming audio and in 2023, we partnered with Live365,
the
largest and best stream provider!
So, how can
I find you?
We have a player
on our main page, you can find us on Live365 here,
plus you can
search for "92.1 The X" on the Live365 app, Android Auto and
Apple Car Play!
Do you have
any air personalities on THE X?
At this point no,
due to technical limitations. We hope to add some friendly voices (other
than "Bud," our station voice) in the near future.
Also, since most of
our website has been dormant for many years, we are working at
getting everything back up and running. Check back often or look for updates

Why are you
called "THE X?"
"W" and
"Y" were already taken.
